About the Programme

The Muskaan Scholarship Program 2.0 (2026–27) is an initiative by Valvoline Cummins Private Ltd. (VCPL) to provide educational support to children of commercial drivers (LMV/HMV), mechanics, and students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). The program aims to ensure continuity in education by supporting students enrolled in Classes 9 to 12 across Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana by providing them with a grant of up to INR 12,000 to cover their academic expenses.

Furthermore, the selected students will receive mentorship support to help them overcome challenges, set goals, and achieve academic excellence. This mentorship initiative aims to empower students by instilling confidence and self-belief.

Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Students studying in Classes 9 to 12 from the following states of India are eligible to apply:
    Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana
  • Open to children of commercial drivers, including LMV/HMV drivers, children of mechanics, and students belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category.
  • Applicants must have secured 60% and above in their previous class.
  • The total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 8 lakh.
  • Children of employees of Valvoline Cummins Private Ltd. (VCPL) and Buddy4Study are not eligible.

  • Log in to Buddy4Study using your registered ID to access the ‘Application Form page’.
    • If you’re not registered, sign up on Buddy4Study using your Email, Mobile, or Google account.
  • You will be redirected to the “Muskaan Scholarship Program 2.0 (2026-27)” application form page.
  • Click the ‘Start Application’ button to begin the application process.
  • Fill in the required details in the online application form.
  • Upload the relevant documents.
  • Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click ‘Preview’ .
  • If all the details are correct in the preview, click the ‘Submit’ button to complete your application.

Documents Required

  • Proof of identity (Aadhaar card)
  • Current year admission proof (fee receipt/admission letter/institution identity card/bonafide certificate)
  • Signed and stamped original marksheet of the previous class
  • Documents to prove parents’ profession (choose one):
    • Commercial Driving License of the parent (Only for drivers)
    • Shramik Card
    • Confirmation from the employer or a self-declaration letter duly attested by the authority
  • Family income proof (choose one):
    • Income proof issued by the Gram Panchayat/Ward Counselor/Sarpanch
    • Income proof issued by SDM/DM/CO/Tehsildar
    • Last three months’ salary slips or Income Tax Return (ITR)
  • Bank account details of the applicant
  • A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant

Note:

  • Applicants must provide details of their own bank account for scholarship processing. Submission of a parent’s or guardian’s bank account details will not be accepted.
  • In cases where the student or their family cannot pay the institute and provide fee receipts, they can submit a fee letter issued by the institute to receive the scholarship amount in advance. However, they must subsequently submit the final receipts through the online scholar tracking system.

    • Then the shortlisting process starts, which is based on eligibility criteria and socio-economic status.
    • After that, the documents provided by the applicants will be checked, and telephonic interactions will be conducted.
    • In the next step, panel interviews are conducted via Zoom and offline Muskaan Scholarship Program 2.0 camps.
    • Final approval of candidates is given by the scholarship provider.
    • Successful candidates are onboarded as scholars; the scholarship amount, up to INR 12,000, is disbursed based on the actual expenses submitted.
  • Yes, students can get this scholarship again next year if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

    • They must provide proof of continuity and promotion to the next year of the course to Buddy4Study.
    • Students should have secured 60% and above in the previous class.
    • Students will have to submit receipts for authorised education-related expenses incurred during the academic year.

    Note: The renewal of the scholarship will be subject to the availability of funds with the scholarship provider.
